Designation: Assistant Manager – Indirect Procurement
Role Purpose
Manage end-to-end indirect procurement activities, ensuring timely sourcing, competitive pricing, quality, and compliance with company procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of indirect goods and services including administrative, facility, IT, travel, office supplies, and other operational requirements.
- Source and evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, delivery timelines, service levels, and commercial terms.
- Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate with vendors to achieve cost-effective outcomes.
- Manage the complete RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO creation, and order follow-up process.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and support vendor onboarding and performance evaluation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval matrix, and documentation requirements.
- Track open POs, deliveries, pending invoices, and resolve procurement-related issues with vendors and internal teams.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, vendor consolidation, and standardization.
- Maintain procurement MIS, vendor records, quotation comparisons, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance, Admin, HR, IT, and other departments for smooth procurement and payment processes.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in indirect procurement/purchase, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Good knowledge of vendor management, negotiation, sourcing, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical and commercial understanding with good negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and work within defined timelines.
